In the course of your duties, you will perform complex operations that require a high level of attention, concentration, and coordination.
As a Heavy Equipment Handler, you may be required to
- Handle complex materials and parts using large forklifts;
- Identify the different components of a forklift and report any defects, if applicable;
- Apply safe methods when operating and handling loads;
- Respect load capacity limits, taking into account handling techniques and applicable standards;
- Observe the environment to assess risks and take necessary precautions;
- Perform various tasks to support production (operating small forklifts, preparing materials, etc.).
Skills required
- Vigilance;
- Observational skills;
- Concern for strictly following procedures and working safely;
- Collaboration.
Job requirements
- Hold a valid driver's license;
- Be available to work on different shifts and according to a cyclic schedule, depending on production needs;
- Experience and/or training in operating heavy vehicles, construction equipment, or comparable experience;
- Be able to provide work that respects the company's procedures and safety rules and comply with applicable health and safety standards for your role.
