The incumbent of this position is part of the Rights Management and Business Relations (GDRA) team of Radio-Canada's French services, responsible for negotiating agreements for the acquisition and production of content to be broadcast on Radio-Canada's various platforms.

The incumbent of the position reports to the Head of Contract Operations and Administration and has the role of supporting and working closely with project managers to ensure administrative tasks related to the conclusion of agreements. To do this, the administrative agent must enter contractual information such as rights, licensing costs, or broadcasting obligations into the contract and rights management system and prepare contractual documents (letters, contracts, amendments, or recommendations) as well as payment schedules.

The incumbent is also responsible for coordinating the approvals and signatures of contractual documents as well as the compliance of the data entered into the tools used by Radio-Canada. Finally, this role involves collaboration with internal partners, independent producers, and international distributors.

Function:

Analyst and commentator on the position and alternatives of the company on certain administrative files in order to establish the situation according to the strategies of the service, facilitate decision-making and planning.

Task Description

  • Interprets the norms, policies, or procedures related to management, for example, budgets, insurance, leases, productivity, acquisitions, sales, in order to resolve difficulties encountered in the processing or analysis of the relevant data;
  • Monitors the evolution of agreements, estimates, the market, comments on performance, services rendered, identifies trends, and reports at any time or period on the company's position relative to the strategies adopted in the management file in question, for example, by identifying deviations or alternatives, producing projections, advising managers in the preparation or correction of schedules;
  • Negotiates, within the set parameters, certain service contracts, certain leases, etc., in order to support administratively the activities of the service; initiates more important negotiations by obtaining, beforehand, the requests, offers, and gathering the pieces, comparative data, reports, etc.; highlights the trends, market norms, or relevant practices;
  • Fills out forms, appropriate documents; prepares correspondence and required reports according to the information, in order to ensure the necessary follow-ups;
  • Familiarizes others with their work by explaining their own tasks;
  • Perform all other administrative tasks.

This position is a combination of remote work and office presence. The work arrangements will be discussed with the hiring managers according to the guidelines determined by the sector.

Qualifications

  • A college diploma in a relevant field (e.g., Management, Administration);
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience acquired in a related field (administration in a unionized environment).

Skills

  • Ability to manage priorities, have a sense of organization, and work under tight deadlines;
  • Ability to demonstrate rigor, meticulousness, accuracy, great resourcefulness, discretion, synthesis, curiosity, and adaptability to new computer tools;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a predisposition to work in a team;
  • Proficiency in Office Suite and Google Apps software;
  • Proficiency in the working language (French) both orally and in writing.
