CNC Operator

Under the supervision of the production supervisor, the CNC Operator is responsible for operating CNC lathes to manufacture simple parts in large-scale production, following established quality procedures. Throughout production, they must ensure traceability and compliance. They will also be involved in continuous improvement activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Good manual dexterity;
• DEP diploma in machining or equivalent and/or significant experience in the machining or manufacturing field will be an asset;
• Show initiative;
• Strong team spirit;
• Show structure;
• Show rigor, accuracy, and precision.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Operate a CNC lathe, manufacture parts according to customer work orders;
• Verify the dimensions and quality inspection criteria of machined parts using measuring instruments (vernier caliper, balance, micrometer, etc.) following specific customer manufacturing guidelines;
• Complete production and packaging reports and sign off on the conformity of the production;
• Note any deviations from specifications and tolerances and correct them;
• Participate in continuous improvement work and always improve work methods and practices in their department;
• Participate in the training and onboarding of newly hired employees in their position.

Conditions

• Salary: Between $19.74 and $29.62 per hour, depending on the candidate's or candidate's experience and skills;
