Description

Under the supervision of the Maintenance Director, the Maintenance Intern will be primarily responsible for developing, structuring, and integrating preventive work orders into our Maintenance Management System (GMAO). This internship will provide hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, asset management, and continuous improvement.

Equipment Analysis

• Collect technical data from machines (manuals, history, technical sheets).
• Identify critical components and maintenance needs.
• Observe equipment in production to understand their operation.
• Definition of Preventive Maintenance Tasks and Creation of Work Orders (BT)
• Determine recommended interventions based on manufacturer guidelines and best practices.
• Establish maintenance frequencies (weekly, monthly, annual).
• Describe intervention steps clearly and structured.
• Write and integrate BT into the GMAO.
• Associate parts, tools, skills, and estimated durations.

GMAO Database Update

• Verify the quality of existing data in the GMAO.
• Organize the hierarchy of equipment.

Validation and Continuous Improvement

• Accompany technicians during certain interventions for observation purposes.
• Propose improvements to optimize preventive maintenance.

Requirements

• Be a student in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field at the college or university level.
• Strong interest in maintenance, reliability, and continuous improvement.
• Analytical skills, diligence, and organizational sense.
• Proficiency with computer tools (Excel, GMAO is an asset).
• Good communication skills and team spirit.
