Reporting to the R&D Director, the person sought will have the main responsibilities of carrying out the recipes and development tests for clients as well as contributing to the research and development activities of the laboratory.

Key activities

  • Produce recipes in the laboratory according to the priorities of the R&D department and perform autoclave cooking;
  • Manage the laboratory's raw materials;
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the laboratory;
  • Perform the required physico-chemical analyses on the recipes produced in the laboratory;
  • Collaborate with all departments on R&D issues;
  • Document the tests carried out;
  • Participate in the production of recipes during validation trials in the plant.

Required education and experience

  • DEC in food transformation, dietetics, or any other relevant training;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a food laboratory;
  • Experience in agro-food is an asset.

Skills sought

  • Excellent mastery of French, both spoken and written;
  • Basic English proficiency;
  • Proficiency in computer tools (Microsoft Office) and HR systems;
  • Ability to perform taste tests on various food products, including products that may contain meat or other animal ingredients.
