We are currently looking for a Data Architect to join our IT team!

Summary

Reporting to the Vice President of IT, the Data Architect designs, develops and evolves Must Société’s data infrastructure. They are responsible for designing and optimizing the analytics platform, using technologies such as Snowflake, Azure and Matillion, while ensuring data quality and the performance of the solutions. In collaboration with business teams, they contribute to the implementation of analytics and automation tools that support the company’s strategic objectives. This hybrid role is based at our head office in Laval.

Your day-to-day as a data architect at must société

  • Design and maintain robust, high-performance data pipelines using Matillion Cloud and native Azure tools.
  • Manage the architecture and optimization of Snowflake, including data modeling, partitioning and cost management.
  • Develop and maintain data infrastructure systems (DDL, loading sequences, orchestration, monitoring).
  • Implement and optimize data validation and quality assurance processes.
  • Build data systems that support machine learning models and automation.
  • Collaborate with business teams (Finance, eCommerce, Supply Chain, CX) to identify analytics and automation opportunities.
  • Document architecture, procedures and technical decisions to ensure shared knowledge across the organization.
  • Diagnose and resolve performance, data quality and data integrity issues.
  • Contribute to the data governance strategy and promote sound data management practices.
  • You are the person we are looking for if you have the following qualifications:
  • 4 to 6 years of experience in data architecture or data management.
  • Excellent knowledge of SQL, cloud data platforms (Snowflake, BigQuery or Redshift), and an ETL tool (Matillion, Airflow, dbt or equivalent).
  • Experience with Azure, AWS or another cloud platform, as well as Python or another scripting language.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling and modern data architectures.
  • Experience with Spark, Power BI, MLOps, CI/CD practices, Infrastructure as Code, or the retail/eCommerce industry is considered a strong asset.
  • Ability to solve complex problems.
  • Experience in data analysis and implementing decision-support tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with various internal stakeholders.
  • Technical autonomy and the ability to make independent architectural decisions.
  • Strong attention to detail in coding, documentation and system optimization.
  • A pragmatic, results-oriented approach that combines innovation and reliability.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both French and English.*
