The Investor Relations Manager supports strategic communication efforts and maintains significant relationships primarily with GDI's internal stakeholders, but also with external stakeholders, including institutional investors, sell-side analysts, and other key partners, while supporting the Senior Director, Investor Relations. Leveraging a deep understanding of GDI's financial performance and competitive landscape, this role plays a critical part in developing and disseminating impactful messages aligned with the company's strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities include facilitating effective communication with stakeholders, conducting market research and analyses, managing and updating GDI's strategic plan, and developing and updating presentations for internal and external audiences. The position also provides essential support in the context of special projects, as needed, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and fostering transparency with the investor community. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop impactful presentations: produce clear and concise presentations for quarterly and annual board meetings, as well as for lenders and other external stakeholders, effectively communicating the company's financial performance and strategic outlook;
  • Prepare financial communications: draft financial press releases and other communication materials, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with the company's messaging;
  • Analyze market trends and competitors: regularly conduct market trend and competitor performance analyses, developing reports that provide actionable insights to inform strategy;
  • Monitor analyst consensus and report any discrepancies to senior management;
  • Follow up with investors and analysts after meetings and conferences to ensure they have all the requested and necessary information;
  • Monitor financial markets closely and report any trends to senior management;
  • Provide ad-hoc support: contribute to ad-hoc analyses and projects, as needed, ensuring flexibility and responsiveness to evolving business needs.

Skills

  • Educational background: a bachelor's degree is required; additional professional designations such as CPA, MBA, or CFA are a significant asset;
  • Experience requirements: a minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance is essential, with demonstrated financial leadership experience;
  • Proven ability to translate complex financial information into actionable operational recommendations, enabling significant business results;
  • Retail experience considered an asset;

Bilingualism (French and English, both oral and written) is required for daily communications with suppliers, employees, and stakeholders, both in Quebec and abroad;
