MINE GEOLOGIST Permanent position Position to fill 1 Code GEO26-04

The place of work is in Nunavik Deadline to apply September 3, 2026

The work is on rotations 14/14 (14 days of work on site followed by 14 days off), with a Fly in – Fly out access. The usual work schedule is of 11 hours a day over 4 weeks of remuneration, 2 weeks worked (77 hours a week, 7 days a week) followed by 2 weeks of rest. Responsibilities

Reporting to the mine senior geologist, the mine geologist is responsible for:* Assisting his/her supervisor in all of the Company's operating activities.

  • Work in the underground operations by visiting the ore extraction zones and doing the daily follow-up of the production activities.
  • Assist the mine senior geologist in the supervision of the grade control technicians underground.
  • Validate the ore tonnages and grades on the ROM pads.
  • Assist the project geologist with the planning for the underground drilling.
  • Do a follow up of the underground drilling, core description and assay results.
  • Give assistance to engineering department and mining operations for all works related to production geology (indicate the mineralized zones, planning the sampling of the blast patterns, indicate the geological structures, ore bodies characteristics and hazardous areas underground etc.).
  • Supervising the process of integration, interpretation of the production drilling data and the design of the ore packets and stopes.
  • Perform any other duties considered necessary by the mine senior geologist in order to optimize the mining activities.
  • Audit and update of the production database, follow-up on requested corrections.

Qualifications* University degree (BAC) in geosciences (geology or geological engineering).

  • The geologist must be a member in good standing of the Quebec Order of Geologists or Engineers
  • Preferably 2 to 3 years of experience in underground geological production.
  • Good skills in verbal and written communication (emails, reports, presentations, etc.);
  • Possession of a valid general explosives permit.
  • A valid driver's license class 5 is necessary.

Assets* Knowledge of Deswik, leapfrog, geotic.

  • Training on Mining Modules (1 to 7 FMTM)
  • Bilingual (French and English functional).
