The carpenter or carpenter primarily performs carpentry work involving the fabrication, modification, repair, and maintenance of buildings, equipment parts, furniture, etc. This person is also called upon to perform work related to space planning.

*SPECIFICALLY, THE PERSON HOLDING THIS POSITION:*

Determines the steps to be taken and evaluates the materials needed to carry out the work.

Reads and interprets plans and diagrams, communicates with requesters, and visits the sites.

Installs, assembles, disassembles, and transports scaffolding, ladders, and cranes.

When required, moves furniture, appliances, and objects for the execution of the work.

Carpentry

Performs repair and renovation work on buildings: Constructs formwork.

Erects the framework of walls, floors, and roofs, etc.

Installs interior/exterior coverings and insulation.

Installs doors and windows.

Constructs subfloors.

Performs all kinds of demolition.

Erects walls, partitions, partitions, and ceilings using timber framing or metal lathing and installs gypsum board panels.

Constructs and installs suspended ceilings in tiles or special products.

Prepares and installs all kinds of lattices. o Constructs wooden stairs.

Installs parquet.

Installs built-in furniture such as counters, cabinets, and others.

Installs, manufactures, repairs, modifies, and adjusts doors.

Performs finishing work such as the installation of moldings, shelves, storage space, wall coverings, interior doors, or others.

Performs fabrication, repair, or finishing work on furniture.

Roughing, shaping, and assembling materials and furniture.

Veneering with various materials such as wood, laminated plastic sheets, synthetic finish sheets, etc.

Manufactures or repairs equipment and instruments such as tool chests, tool handles, templates, carts, etc.

Space Planning

Performs space planning.

Moves, transports, assembles, and installs office furniture such as workstations, freestanding partitions, bookshelves, meeting tables, etc., and equipment such as refrigerators, microwaves, etc., according to the plans.

Performs moving work.

Assembly and disassembly, movement and storage of objects and furniture, including microcomputers.

Other

Inventories the materials and tools needed for their activities and ensures their sufficient supply.

Checks the accuracy of the delivered goods. Ensures that the item received corresponds to the purchase order, that it is not damaged, and that the quantity is accurate.

Ensures safe use of equipment and products and performs preventive maintenance of the tools used.

Maintains the cleanliness and safety of the premises.

Reports any anomalies or defects to their supervisor and takes measures to remedy them.

Submits any file requiring attention to their supervisor and performs any other task at their request or required by their duties.

Desired Profile

Vocational studies diploma in carpentry, interior finishing, or a relevant discipline, and a minimum of three years of relevant experience.
