FUNCTIONAL ANALYST IN CRYPTOGRAPHY

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a Functional Analyst in Cryptography to join our team of advisors at our Montreal office as a permanent position.

This position is hybrid. 2 days per week at the Montreal office

As an advisor/consultant for Chrome Technologies, the candidate will intervene with our clients in the realization of the projects they have entrusted us with.

The organization is looking for a senior functional analyst specialized in cryptography and post-quantum cryptography (PQC) to contribute to the strategic initiatives in cybersecurity and preparation for the challenges related to the advent of quantum computing.

The resource will participate in the implementation of a structured approach to identify, evaluate, and track cryptographic gaps present in the organization's technological assets, applications, infrastructures, and systems.

The role involves close collaboration with the cybersecurity teams, security architects, and various stakeholders to ensure better visibility of the current and future cryptographic posture.

TASKS

• Design of detection mechanisms

§ Collaborate with architects and cryptography experts to define the inventory and analysis mechanisms § Contribute to the evaluation model to define the inventory and analysis mechanisms § Contribute to the cryptographic compliance evaluation model § Define the criteria for classifying risks and gaps according to their criticality § Determine the performance and tracking indicators for the cryptographic posture

Analysis and evaluation of gaps § Analyze cryptographic inventories and scan results § Evaluate the use of algorithms, protocols, libraries, and cryptographic mechanisms § Identify vulnerable technologies facing quantum computing capabilities

Collaboration and support § Act as a liaison between:

• business teams
• technical teams
• cybersecurity
• PQC program
• § Participate in analysis workshops and compliance reviews
• § Raise awareness among stakeholders about the transition to post-quantum cryptography

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 5 years of experience in functional analysis within cybersecurity or information security contexts

Experience in projects related to

• cryptography
• identity management
• data protection
• Technical knowledge
• Good understanding of modern cryptographic mechanisms
• Knowledge of:
• PKI infrastructures
• digital certificates
• TLS protocols
• key management mechanisms
• Knowledge of PQC standards and frameworks:
• NIST
• CNSA 2.0
• Understanding of concepts:
• Cryptographic Asset Inventory
• Crypto Agility
