Under the responsibility of the General Director, the Director of Nursing Services is responsible for planning, directing, and controlling the management of human, material, and budgetary resources of the healthcare service. They ensure the provision of quality healthcare services centered on the well-being and dignity of residents.
Main Responsibilities: Human Resources Management
Directs and coordinates the work of the nursing team.
Works in collaboration with the Human Resources department regarding: Workforce needs and recruitment processes
Team training and the implementation of professional development plans.
The application of company policies and procedures and laws governing human resources management, and follows up on disciplinary files of employees under their supervision.
Holds quarterly meetings with the floor supervisors and the Nursing Coordinator
Holds monthly inter-quarter meetings with the Caregiver team
Quality of Care and Services:
Ensures the implementation of the resident intervention plan (PI), sets it up, and follows up on it in collaboration with the Nursing Coordinator as needed
Establishes, coordinates, and monitors the quality of care and services.
Implements protocols and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of residents.
Conducts regular quality audits to assess compliance with standards and identify areas for improvement.
Analyzes data collected during audits and implements corrective actions in collaboration with the Nursing Coordinator.
Evaluates, welcomes, and prepares the necessary documentation for the admission of new residents.
Customer Service
Is responsible for customer service (complaints, comments, assistance) and ensures effective communication with residents and their families.
Handles complaints and comments professionally and effectively.
Maintains a climate of trust and collaboration with residents, their families, and other stakeholders.
Administrative and Financial Management:
Manages the material and financial resources of the healthcare service on a monthly basis (RI and SAAD billing).
Manages procurement from various suppliers for the healthcare service.
Prepares and presents workforce budget reports to management.
Ability to manage a predefined budget and business management skills.
Leadership and Collaboration: Actively participates in the company's various committees.
Represents the company at meetings with government officials, the public, and other organizations.
Knows and applies the company's policies and procedures.
Collaborates or performs other tasks related to administrative services as requested by the immediate supervisor.
Desired Profile: University degree in nursing (BAC), Nursing Techniques
Hold a valid OIIQ permit 3 to 5 years of experience in managing nursing teams in a similar environment (senior residence, CHSLD, community center, etc.).

Knowledge of the basics of rules and obligations related to certification.

Knowledge of basic computer programs (Outlook, Word, Excel) and some specialized programs (Hopem, Symo, Agendrix).
Working Conditions:
Annual salary position, which may require working evenings, weekends, or holidays.
