Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of professionals in health, safety, hygiene, industrial safety, and risk management. Your main responsibilities will include:
Develop and communicate a vision of zero injury excellence in health for the Fonderie Horne;
Develop strategies and plans to minimize and control risks;
Lead your team to oversee the health, safety, hygiene, industrial safety, and risk management aspects in connection with the realization of the company's project portfolio;
Establish and ensure the implementation of the company's and industry's standards;
Establish and ensure the implementation of a risk and hazard management and maintenance strategy and the tracking of corrective measures;
Monitor critical tasks;
Ensure overall compliance with the company's rules, procedures, and safety awareness, planning, verification, and audit programs;
Work closely with directors and managers to implement industry best practices;
Establish and implement general and specific prevention programs for the Fonderie Horne site;
Establish and implement requirements for secure interactions and verifications, and track the implementation of activities and prevention across different activities;
Coordinate and support teams in the process of declarations, analyses, and investigations of events, execution of corrective actions, and tracking structure;
Develop and measure health and safety performance for all plant sectors, structuring to provide the expected visibility on performance to different actors;
Develop and implement a program for housekeeping and good order;
Participate in the continuous improvement program of your service and the company;
Establish a clear, effective, and supported communication structure regarding the latest information, alerts, good practices, etc.;
Demonstrated leadership and skills in strategic, analytical, and communication, influence, and change management.
Skills and experience required
- 10 years of relevant experience in health, safety in an industrial environment;
College or university diploma in occupational health and safety and/or a relevant certification or diploma;
Any professional accreditation considered an asset;
Knowledge and mastery of legislative and industry standards in health, safety, and environment;
Experience with organizational and information management applications and systems in the health and safety domain.
Working hours: You will work on a day shift, 40 hours per week.Languages: Proficiency in English is an important asset as the person will have to work with colleagues... Occasional travel will be requiredWhat we offer:
