As a Hydrogeology Technician (Quebec Region), you will play a key role in the implementation of fieldwork.
Responsibilities related to the position
- Monitoring of drilling and soil sampling work as part of water research projects;
- Describe the characteristics, properties, and composition of the soils;
- Supervision of the construction of test wells;
- Supervision of pumping tests;
- Conduct hydraulic conductivity tests;
- Sampling of groundwater;
- Record data and complete all field forms;
- Plan fieldwork with the project manager;
- Prepare equipment and materials for fieldwork;
- Lead the health and safety meeting on site with subcontractors;
- Prepare coolers with samples and complete analysis forms;
- Complete all site forms and prepare the photo descriptions;
- Conduct geophysical campaigns;
- Perform all other related tasks.
Requirements and Education
- DEC (Environmental Management Technology or Mineral Technology specialization in Geology);
- More than 3 years of relevant experience;
- Meticulous;
- Enjoys working in the field;
- Able to work in a team;
- Responsible;
- Reliable.
