Role Responsibilities

As a Refrigeration Technician – Chiller Technician, you will participate in the commissioning of our Johnson Controls/York liquid chiller range under the supervision of our plant. You will also ensure maintenance, repair, installation, commissioning, and general service on scroll, screw, and centrifugal type chillers.
Key Functions:
- Diagnose and target operational issues with customers and make recommendations.
- Keep the customer informed about the nature of the services performed and issues to be addressed.
- In conjunction with your team leader, promote the sale of additional work.
- Prepare project/service-related documentation/submissions.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance of HVAC equipment.
- Adhere to all customer and Johnson Controls safety standards.
- Continuously strive to improve your technical skills and knowledge of Johnson Controls products; successfully complete the training activities offered by the company online or directly at the plant.
- Obtain the required certifications based on company needs.
- Access the salary bonus program.
Qualifications
- At least five years of experience in the customer service field.
- Refrigeration Technician Companion Card.
- Knowledge of building HVAC mechanics (an asset).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate leadership.
- Exceptional interpersonal and collaborative skills, ability to positively represent Johnson Controls, and ability to communicate with people of various technical and non-technical levels.
- Valid driver's license.
- Proficient use of computer tools.
- Asset:
- Oral and Written Communication: French and English.
Salary Scale: $48.37 (Hourly rate determined in accordance with the collective agreement and applicable salary grid). Social benefits are provided in accordance with the applicable collective agreement and administered by the relevant local union. The displayed salary scale reflects the target total remuneration associated with this position. The employer acknowledges that exceptional experience or skills may, where applicable, be taken into account in accordance with the provisions of the collective agreement.
