As a Superintendent within Pomerleau's Civil & Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating activities on-site to ensure the smooth progression of work. Working on large-scale construction projects ranging from $1.5 million to over $1 billion, you will have the opportunity to play a key role in the execution of work, ensuring resources are optimized and communication remains effective among stakeholders.

What You Will Do

  • Plan and organize work: Determine workforce, material, and equipment needs, and establish work methods to meet schedules.
  • Supervise and coordinate teams: Lead workers on-site and ensure collaboration among different trades and subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance, quality, and health & safety: Apply plans, safety standards, quality standards, and best practices in health and safety.
  • Manage logistics: Order required materials and equipment, and coordinate with the logistics department for needs and demobilization.
  • Participate in planning: Collaborate with the project manager for schedule preparation and attend coordination meetings with the client.
  • Resolve issues: Identify challenges on-site and recommend solutions to improve productivity.
  • Mentor and train: Supervise worker training on procedures, safety, and emergency measures.
  • Tracking and reporting: Conduct inventories, prepare requisitions, and communicate relevant information to concerned departments.
  • This Position is for You If You Have
  • 10 to 15 years of experience in civil & infrastructure work;
  • A valid CCQ companion card;
  • Teamwork and planning skills;
  • Excellent ability to read plans and estimates, as well as technological skills;
  • Recognized leadership and excellent sense of team and work planning.
