The Community Specialist is responsible for executing the store's community strategy, which includes interacting with the community through relationship-building, events, and other activities, as well as supporting lululemon influence marketing and participation in local studio activities. They create and maintain key relationships with local lululemon ambassadors and other relevant and influential community partners with synergistic value. The Community Specialist also provides a world-class guest experience (i.e., customer experience) when working on the store floor while incorporating their community perspective into the guest relationship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with the store management team to bring the community strategy to life (through the pillars of community foundations) and the guest experience.
  • Manages and maintains key relationships (e.g., with ambassadors, Sweat Collective program members, studio owners, or lululemon Studio partners) to increase guest acquisition and retention.
  • Interacts with the local community to discover future ambassadors or partners and enhance the store's reputation as a community hub.
  • Communicates with guests on the floor to assess their unique needs, provide product technical education, and integrate multi-platform programs into a seamless guest experience from start to finish.
  • Participates in local and regional community events, supports and/or organizes them.
  • Executes the influence marketing strategy through community partners and ambassadors.
  • Evaluates community-related sales and performance metrics to provide information or recommendations to the store management team regarding events, projects, or community initiatives.
  • Promotes a respectful and inclusive team environment by welcoming and celebrating differences to ensure a favorable, productive, and enjoyable experience for all team members.

Experience

  • One year of cumulative experience in customer service or customer engagement, local marketing, brand engagement, or community development.
