Description

Under the Finance Department, the Accounts Payable Clerk processes vendor invoices, tracks payments and accounts payable. The person supports the finance service and contributes to the accuracy of financial information and compliance with deadlines, in collaboration with internal services.

YOUR DAILY ROUTINE WITHIN THE COOPERATIVE

  • Receive, verify and enter vendor invoices and employee expense accounts.
  • Match invoices with purchase orders and proof of receipt, when required.
  • Enter invoices into the accounting system.
  • Prepare vendor payments and ensure compliance with deadlines.
  • Respond to vendor information requests and track discrepancies or disputes.
  • Maintain up-to-date vendor files and ensure tax compliance (GST/QST).
  • Participate in monthly closing, preparation of basic financial reports, internal or external audits and document filing.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team and other internal services.
  • Perform any other related tasks assigned by the Finance Department.

EDUCATION & KNOWLEDGE

  • Good knowledge of basic accounting principles and taxes (GST/QST).
  • Proficiency with computer tools, Excel and accounting software (Acomba, an asset).
  • Good command of French, both oral and written.

WORK CONDITIONS

  • Permanent full-time position (35h/week)
  • Group insurance after 3 months.
  • 7 paid personal days and special leave (bereavement, moving, marriage).
  • Collective REER with employer contribution after 1 year.
  • Uniform budget and health and well-being (250$) after the probationary period.
