Assistant Supervisor - Civil & Infrastructure

As an Assistant Supervisor within Pomerleau's Civil & Infrastructure team, you will support the Supervisor in coordinating activities on-site to ensure the smooth progress of construction work. Working on large-scale construction projects ranging from $1.5 million to over $1 billion, you will have the opportunity to actively contribute to the project's success by fostering communication among teams and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.

What You Will Do

• Support and lead in the areas of environment, quality, and health and safety: Participate in the implementation of existing plans and promote best practices in safety and quality with key stakeholders.
• Planning: Contribute to the development and updating of the project schedule.
• Proactive coordination: Participate and initiate meetings with subcontractors and the project team to address challenges.
• Schedule tracking: Collaborate with the Project Manager and Supervisor to prepare and track the 3-week schedule.
• Procurement management: Ensure the tracking of critical items to prevent delays.
• Technical expertise: Read and interpret plans, shop drawings, and technical sheets to validate timelines and compliance.
• Budget and optimization: Contribute to the adherence to budgets and contractual requirements during construction and maintenance.
• Communication and representation: Serve as the point of contact for execution with internal and external partners.
• Mentoring and support: Guide and support team members in their daily tasks.
• This role is for you if you have
• 3 to 5 years of experience as an Assistant Supervisor
• A valid CCQ Companion Card;
• Strong organizational and teamwork skills;
• Excellent ability to read plans and estimates, as well as technological skills
