RESPONSIBILITIES
- As a Project Engineer, for the Electrical Transmission Lines division, you will have to:
- Know and master the technical specifications of your project;
- Plan and ensure the proper coordination of work with foremen, surveyors, supervisors, engineers, project managers and subcontractors;
- Plan, supervise and participate in the preparation of appropriate construction methods and procedures related to contractual requirements, while respecting the requirements in terms of health and safety;
- Get involved in traffic management;
- Participate in meetings with clients, engineers and project managers;
- Assist, review and communicate technical questions and change requests to the client's representative and perform the necessary follow-ups;
- Assist the superintendent in various administrative and technical tasks;
- Plan and verify material orders (various metal parts, formwork, reinforcement, etc.);
- Participate in the preparation and updating of project schedules;
- Perform various follow-up tasks on the construction site.
REQUIREMENTS
- Hold a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction engineering;
- Be a member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec (OIQ);
- At least 5 years of relevant experience on construction projects;
- Experience on Hydro-Québec construction sites (asset);
- ASP construction training;
- Knowledge of Microsoft (Word, Excel);
- MS Project and AutoCAD (asset);
- Great mobility to be able to work on remote construction sites throughout the province of Quebec.
