  • Food Assembly Operator

Under the supervision of the Production Supervisor, the Food Assembly Operator (Line Supervisor) ensures the organization and optimization of their team's work on an assembly production line in accordance with defined procedures, technical sheets, and production schedules.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Checks the next day's production schedule and validates equipment and personnel availability with the supervisor
  • Conducts pre-operational inspections
  • Prepares the line (equipment assembly and adjustment, workstation setup, material provisioning) and tests the proper functioning of each line element before startup
  • Anticipates ingredient needs and the adequacy of sub-assemblies
  • Mobilizes personnel to achieve productivity and quality objectives
  • Adjusts line speed to meet production targets with products conforming to specifications
  • Informs the supervisor of production progress on their line
  • Maintains all production tracking documents up-to-date
  • Measures achievement of objectives, informs the supervisor, and identifies immediate actions to be taken with them
  • Suggests recipe and process improvements to the supervisor
  • Responsible for monitoring all CCP to be controlled on their line
  • Ensures product compliance (weight, ingredient dosage and placement, sealing, printing, packaging, etc.) at all times
  • Alerts the supervisor to non-conforming products and coordinates problem resolution
  • Ensures all personnel on their line follow hygiene and safety measures
  • Ensures a satisfactory and clean working environment around their line
  • Alerts the supervisor to health and safety hazards present on their line
  • Responsible for enforcing and ensuring compliance with HACCP recognition and FSSC22000 certification requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma combined with 2 years of experience in personnel management as a team leader
  • 2-4 years of production experience (asset)
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Good organization skills
  • Contributes to a positive team spirit
