• Health and Safety Advisor

Under the supervision of the Vice President of Human Resources, the Health and Safety Advisor influences individuals' behaviors regarding Occupational Health and Safety (OHS). They advise and support managers on workplace accident prevention activities.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implement and monitor the factory's prevention plan
• Manage workplace accident files, conduct investigations, and ensure follow-ups with government agencies and employees
• Identify, analyze, and assess risks in workplaces
• Develop various OHS programs and procedures (Prevention activities organization, awareness campaigns ...)
• Propose and implement training activities related to different risks and the company's programs
• Conduct ergonomic evaluations and propose corrective measures to prevent injuries
• Lead the joint health and safety committee at work
• Monitor incident and accident analyses, produce resulting statistics, and support the implementation of corrective measures
• Update and enforce the emergency response plan (ERP)
• Conduct inspections and audits in production areas and on equipment
• Manage and update the workplace first aid kit file
• Conduct a watch to stay updated on OHS laws, regulations, and standards
• Propose, test, and implement appropriate personal protective equipment
• Promote an OHS culture and a safe work environment
• Perform any other related tasks as requested

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position
• Experience in corporate training, an asset
• Proficiency in Office Suite
• Ability to work in a team and coordinate training
• Ability to clearly and effectively express ideas both orally and in writing
• Results-oriented
• Autonomy and organizational skills (priority management)
• Team spirit and sense of responsibility
