Administrative and Compliance Coordinator
Alternative Mortgage Centre — Brossard (in-person)
Full-time, 35 hours/week · Salary to be discussed, around $50,000 per year based on experience
Who We Are
We are a mortgage brokerage in Brossard that helps people finance their real estate projects, often when traditional banks say no. We are a small team, which means everyone has a real impact on the daily operations.
The Role in Two Words
We are looking for someone to manage the administration and regulatory compliance. This is a central role: you ensure that all files comply with the rules, including those of the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF), and you follow up with the brokers. It's varied, dynamic, and requires someone who likes things to be done correctly.
A part of the role also involves our social media networks. If you have experience or if creating a Reel or editing a short video doesn't scare you, it's a plus that will set you apart.
What You Would Do Daily
- Under the supervision of the director, prepare, complete, and follow up on mortgage loan files until closing, gathering and verifying the required documents;
- Ensure the compliance of files according to internal requirements, those of the lenders, and the AMF;
- Coordinate exchanges between clients, brokers, and lenders, and respect tight deadlines;
- Welcome clients and direct them to the right person;
- Enter and update data in our systems (CRM, DRIVE);
- Handle payroll and TPS/TVQ declarations;
- Write and maintain our policies and procedures, with the director;
- Create content for our social media (ideas, filming, editing, publishing, community engagement).
What We Look for in You
- A DEC in administration, office management, or accounting (or equivalent experience);
- At least 2 years in an administrative or coordination role;
- Good French writing skills and a strong sense of organization;
- Autonomy;
- Discretion, as you will handle sensitive financial information;
- Familiarity with Office and management software.
What Would Set You Apart: Experience in the mortgage, financial, or insurance industry, or an AMF license. Familiarity with Canva or CapCut.
What We Offer
- A salary adjustable based on your experience;
- A daytime schedule that leaves room to breathe: 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Thursday, and we finish at noon on Friday;
- Possible remote work on Fridays;
- Holidays and vacation days according to our policies.
- The Process
It's simple: a first call to get to know each other, a meeting in person at our Brossard offices, and a quick response. We won't forget you in a pile of emails.
Does This Interest You?
Send us your resume *(and a note on what attracts you to the position, if your heart desires)*. Even if you don't check all the boxes, write to us anyway, we first look at the person.
