In collaboration with the Director of Accommodation, the incumbent of the position is responsible for supervising and coordinating the work of the teams under their supervision (hotel / spa / café Natura) as well as performing, when required, the operational tasks related to their department. More specifically, they supervise work methods, assign tasks, and transmit directives and instructions to employees. At times, the incumbent may replace the supervisor for a short period.
The incumbent actively participates in the mission of Village Vacances Valcartier, which is to offer a magical experience in a warm, clean, and secure atmosphere while ensuring that the clientele receives outstanding service.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES *Human Resources Management*
- Perform human resources management for the hotel / spa and café Natura team (hiring, training, scheduling, approval of hours, performance evaluation, etc.)
- Plan and coordinate the work of their team, ensuring the efficiency and quality of the work;
- Ensure the application and respect of policies, standards, and procedures;
- Replace meals, breaks, leaves, and absences, as needed.
- *Operations Management*
- Approval and billing of independent workers;
- Ensure the application and respect of standards, policies, and regulations;
- Ensure that decisions and behaviors are in line with the company's mission and values;
- Collaborate with different departments and business partners and respond to their questions;
- Complete and verify various registers and reports according to established standards and directives;
- Meet with clients in particular situations and ensure their satisfaction;
- Respond to clients who have completed satisfaction surveys, as needed;
- Manage unexpected events;
- Offer and ensure the respect of quality service standards to the clientele;
- Write and update procedures for the hotel / spa / café;
- Monitor operations with team leaders;
- Participate in weekly meetings;
- Collaborate in the search for new partnerships and the development of special projects;
- Conduct inventory and ordering for the hotel / spa / café departments;
- Perform all other related tasks requested by their immediate supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Hold a degree in hotel management (an asset);
- Hold experience in a similar position in a hospitality establishment or tourism industry (minimum 2 years);
- Have significant experience in customer service;
- 1 to 2 years of experience in personnel management;
- Knowledge of the Office suite;
- Excellent French proficiency and ability to communicate in English to serve a diverse clientele.
