Fast Food Team Chef

In collaboration with the immediate supervisor, the job holder is responsible for coordinating the work of a team, in addition to performing operational tasks.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

HUMAN RESOURCES TASKS

• Perform human resources management (personnel needs analysis, hiring, training, work distribution, scheduling, overtime authorization, performance evaluation, conflict management, health and safety measures implementation, etc.);
• Apply and enforce VVV policies, standards, and procedures;
• Create and maintain a positive work environment;
• Cover meals, breaks, leaves, and absences, as needed.

OPERATIONAL TASKS

• Represent VVV in its activities and ensure customer satisfaction;
• Ensure the smooth operation of the business;
• Place product orders;
• Maintain and control inventory;
• Prepare, perform, and verify cash deposits and bank reconciliations;
• Set product prices;
• Develop menus;
• Welcome and inform customers about menus and products;
• Take orders, prepare drinks and food, and serve customers;
• Sell beverages and food using the cash register;
• Comply with provincial and territorial liquor laws and regulations;
• Prepare garnishes and place products (beers, juices, etc.) in the designated refrigerator;
• Perform opening and closing duties for the bar/restaurant;
• Act as a resource person;
• Resolve issues related to the department, write, and submit reports;
• Periodically evaluate service quality and profitability;
• Ensure the production, implementation, application, and optimization of work procedures;
• Provide support to the immediate supervisor, when required;
• Report any anomalies to the immediate supervisor.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficiency in the French language;
• Ability to communicate in English is a desirable asset, given the diversity of our clientele.

• Ability to lift and carry loads up to 15 kg (frequent);
• Ability to kneel, push, pull, and lift (occasional).
