Our Manufacturing, Lab & Research (MDR) R&D team is expanding to develop the next generation of test solutions for laboratories, equipment manufacturers, and research organizations.

Role Summary

As a Full Stack Software Developer, you will design and develop innovative software solutions spanning both back-end and front-end technologies for our MDR products. You will also create proofs of concept (PoCs), evaluate emerging technologies, and develop software that interacts directly with advanced hardware components.

Working closely with software, hardware, FPGA, and systems engineering teams, you will help transform innovative concepts into world-class commercial products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, maintain, and enhance Full Stack software features for MDR products.
  • Develop back-end components including APIs, services, communication protocols, and low-level integrations.
  • Develop modern front-end user interfaces.
  • Analyze and improve existing code by adding new features and enhancing maintainability.
  • Rapidly build prototypes and proofs of concept to validate emerging technologies.
  • Participate in technical evaluations with software, hardware, FPGA, and systems engineering teams.
  • Demonstrate new technologies internally and externally.
  • Integrate successful PoCs into current and future products.
  • Develop software that interfaces directly with electronic components through drivers and low-level APIs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to solve complex technical challenges.

Desired Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of software development experience.
  • Experience developing software for hardware-based products, preferably within telecommunications.
  • Strong proficiency in C, C++, or C#.
  • Experience with one or more front-end technologies including Flutter, TypeScript, or Angular.
  • Working knowledge of Python.
  • Experience developing REST APIs.
  • Knowledge of Git, GitLab, CI/CD, and unit testing is considered an asset.
  • Strong interest in hardware, including electronic chips, drivers, and low-level interfaces.
  • Comfortable working with emerging or evolving technologies.
  • Experience with networking or communication systems is an asset.
  • Excellent collaboration skills within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Self-driven, adaptable, curious, and eager to learn.
  • Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
