Accounting Technician

This exciting opportunity will allow you to directly contribute to the financial performance of our hotels, in a collaborative, modern, and growing environment.

Under the authority of the General Manager, you will execute, verify, and oversee the daily accounting operations of the hotel. You will ensure that all documents are up-to-date and submitted to the regional office on time. You will also assist the RIMAP Hospitality regional office with the monthly closing of books and various special projects.

Main Responsibilities

• Management of hours for executive and unionized employees
• Reconciliation of banquet events with contracts
• Daily review and correction of daily revenues
• Accounting and reconciliation of daily deposits (including credit cards)
• Management of vendor accounts: matching, coding, and recording invoices (Sage300, Adaco)
• Tracking of customer, vendor, department head, and regional office requests
• Involvement in internal controls (regulations, procedures, monthly/annual inventories)
• Participation in the executive development program

Required Qualifications

• Bilingual French/English (spoken, written, read)
• Accounting skills and knowledge of basic hotel software
• DEC in a related field OR equivalent experience
• Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Assets : Experience as a day/night auditor or accounting technician
