That's great because Abifor Cooperative of Forest Workers is looking for its accounting counterpart. As an important economic actor in its field, we are active in public forests on the territory of La Sarre and its surroundings. Our main activities include land preparation, plantation maintenance, and various forest inventories.

As an Accounting Technician, you will be responsible for the accounting management of the 2 entities (CFOR Forest Group and Abifor Cooperative of Forest Workers):

• Perform invoicing of work based on reports collected from each department;
• Issue employee payrolls and all other tasks related to their remuneration and employment records;
• Perform bank reconciliation, prepare and make deposits;
• Issue cheques to suppliers and direct deposits to employees;
• Perform monthly and complete accounting, verify and process all necessary forms for the administration of the cooperative (SST, accounts payable, DAS, QST, GST, provisional advances, etc.);
• Prepare financial statements and end-of-period files;
• Participate in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts;
• Process and verify financial registers and commercial transactions such as supplier accounts and customer accounts;
• Ensure the tracking and complete management of members' shares of the Cooperative.

Desired Profile

• University certificate in accounting or DEC in accounting and management
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in accounting
• Advanced mastery of Excel (pivot tables) and Acomba
• Knowledge of the forestry or industrial sector (asset)
• Experience in project accounting and intercos (asset)
• Experience in a cooperative environment (asset)

Offered Conditions

• Weekly salary, ranging from $28/h to $36/h
• Flexible schedule of 35h/week, Monday to Friday
• Full-time on-site position (100%)
