The mandate holder primarily manages a large volume of client mandates/files and coordinates them with their team to ensure the successful completion of deliverables efficiently.

Functions and Tasks

• Manage a large volume of files in audit and compilation missions, while maintaining constant contact with several account managers' clients;
• Organize and plan mandates to ensure their effective completion within agreed-upon deadlines;
• Train, supervise, and support staff in preparing year-end files, providing constructive feedback and tailored solutions;
• Supervise the entire production process: planning, review, invoicing, internal communication, and client relations;
• Serve as the main point of contact for clients, follow up as needed, and respond to their ad-hoc requests;
• Collaborate closely with account managers and administrative staff to ensure smooth operations and high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Hold a university degree in accounting and a CPA designation;
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting firm;
• Strong knowledge of corporate income tax returns;
• Proficiency in computer software: Caseware, Taxprep suite, Excel, and Word;
• Strong sense of responsibility, autonomy, and analytical thinking;
• Sense of organization, ability to manage priorities, and capacity to handle multiple mandates/files simultaneously in a fast-paced environment;
• Business and customer service sense;
• Teamwork and leadership;
• Availability to work overtime during busy periods;
• Initiative;
• Flexibility, agility, intellectual curiosity, and continuous learning capacity.
