We are looking for a passionate Lead QA with a recognized technical leadership. In collaboration with development and analysis teams, you will be responsible for defining test strategies, leading the QA team, and ensuring the delivery of reliable, high-performance solutions compliant with best practices. Your expertise will guide process optimization, test automation, and continuous quality improvement across all projects.
Functions and Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automated tests for web, mobile, API, and integrated systems applications;
Define and evolve the test strategy based on business needs, risks, and solution architecture;
Implement robust, reusable, and easy-to-maintain automation frameworks. Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous validation of deliverables;
Participate in the analysis of functional and technical requirements to identify test scenarios, edge cases, and quality risks;
Perform manual exploratory testing as needed to complement automated coverage. Analyze, document, and track detected anomalies; collaborate with developers until resolution;
Generate and track quality metrics: test coverage, failure rate, script stability, regression, critical defects, etc.
Ensure the quality of test environments, test data sets, and dependencies required for automation;
Participate in code reviews of tests and promote best practices in automation and quality assurance;
Mentor junior team members on tools, methods, and standards;
Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA, DevOps, and software delivery processes.
Specific Technical Tasks:
Develop automated test scripts for: functional tests, regression tests, integration tests, API tests, smoke tests, and end-to-end tests;
Set up tools for test management and execution;
Diagnose test instability and reduce false positives/negatives;
Collaborate with the DevOps team for test orchestration in deployment environments;
Participate in the validation of code quality and deliveries in an Agile context.
Qualifications Required for Success in this Role
- Excellent understanding of software development cycles and Agile/Scrum methodologies;
Mastery of automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Postman, RestAssured, Appium, or equivalents;
Good knowledge of programming or scripting languages like Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or C#;
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions;
Good understanding of API testing, databases, application logs, and issue tracking tools;
Ability to document clearly, analyze risks, and propose sustainable solutions; Technical leadership, autonomy, and excellent teamwork spirit.
CGI offers a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this position. The calculation of this range depends on various factors, including skill level, geographic market, experience, education, as well as professional licenses and certifications. Salary decisions depend on the particularities of each case. A reasonable estimate of this salary range is between $70,000 and $135,000. This is a vacant position.
