Under the supervision of the Team Leader and/or the M&OP Manager, the successful candidate will coordinate certain interventions of the department within a given project, throughout the proposal and execution phases of the project. They will participate in the development of construction methods and the design of temporary works, oversee the production of required models and plans, and ensure the compliance of the works during their implementation on the construction site. They will provide technical support throughout the proposal and execution phases of the project.
This is what you will do:
- Be responsible for the control of the group's work, the quality of the produced documents, and the respect of the production schedule for deliverables
- During the proposal phase, supervise and guide the preparation of general methods and work sequences, equipment needs, and preliminary design of temporary works
- During the proposal or start of a project, participate, with the Team Leader or M&OP Manager and the construction team, in the definition of the main tasks that will be directly assigned to the Methods team and the tasks that will be outsourced (if applicable), and define a production schedule for deliverables
- Analyze the various plans and estimates of the permanent works of the project
- Define, in collaboration with the construction team, the general methods that will be deployed on the site
- Coordinate and ensure the production of various documents such as site installation plans, lifting plans, and other project-specific plans
- Coordinate and ensure the production of phasing plans: cycles of use of temporary works, general work phasing
- Find the best options for the realization of temporary works, in accordance with the planning and the general methods envisaged, and anticipate the site issues
- Design temporary works (special formwork, pile driving template, platforms, temporary bridges and walkways, steel structures, barges, temporary supports, etc.), or prepare specifications
- Be a relevant and credible technical resource for stakeholders
- Provide technical support to the construction team for the installation and respect of methods
- This position is for you if you have:
- A bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction engineering OR A college diploma in civil engineering
- Coordinator: Have relevant work experience between 0 and 10 years in civil engineering works and design of works
- Have experience in team management
- Have good mastery of the AdvanceDesign software or another finite element analysis software
- Have very good mastery of the Autocad software
- Mastery of Revit and/or Civil 3D is an asset
