As a member of the Building Project Design and Technical Management team for the Industrial Market, the Process Integration Manager acts as the process reference for Pomerleau in projects aimed at designing and constructing industrial systems and the facilities that house them.

He or she is responsible for:

  • Supervising and managing the industrial process design developed by specialized firms or partners,
  • Ensuring the coherent integration of the process into the building and infrastructure,
  • Supporting the execution of work until commissioning.

What you will do

  • Supervise and coordinate engineering firms responsible for process design (chemical, mechanical, automation, etc.).
  • Manage the compliance of the design with process requirements.
  • Validate proposed concepts and ensure their consistency with project objectives.
  • Translate process requirements and specifics into input data and requirements for building and facility design.
  • Establish and manage the processes and tools for managing interfaces between the process and building disciplines (architecture, structure, mechanical, electrical, civil).
  • Identify risks related to industrial processes (safety, environment, operation) and participate in the development of mitigation strategies.
  • Support procurement and construction teams during the execution of work and commissioning in relation to the process.
  • Collaborate with internal project management, design, and construction teams.
  • Ensure smooth communication between the client, process designers, and execution teams.
  • Contribute to the resolution of technical issues during the project.
  • This position is for you if you have:
  • A bachelor's degree in chemical engineering (process engineering), materials engineering, or mechanical engineering with experience in industrial processes.
  • Membership in the OIQ or admissibility (CPI / ing.), an asset.
  • At least 10 years of professional experience.
  • Experience in design (professional services) and/or transformation and production, an asset.
  • Experience in construction, an asset.
  • Comprehensive understanding of industrial processes.
  • Ability to supervise specialized designers.
  • Strong multidisciplinary integration skills.
  • Applied engineering judgment for complex projects.
  • Sense of coordination and technical communication.
  • Proficiency with the BIM approach and tools and platforms.
