FLOGEN Star Outreach is a non-profit organization dedicated to sustainable development through science, technology, and engineering. Each year, we organize an international conference (Sustainable Industrial Processing Summit) that covers three sustainability pillars: (1) Science, Technology \& Industry, (2) Governance \& Management and (3) Education \& Civil Society. The summit simultaneously incorporates numerous International Symposia covering the fields of: iron and steel making; electrochemistry; molten salt and ionic liquids; advanced materials; advanced manufacturing; advanced technologies; aluminum; batteries; bio-extraction; cement; coal; coatings; composites; ceramics; ecosystems; education; energy production; environment; ferro-alloys; mathematics; metallic systems; metals and alloys; minerals; mining; multiscale materials; nanomaterials; non-ferrous smelting and hydro/electrochemical processing; quasi-crystals; rare earth and platinum group metals; recycling; and rotary kiln operations. The topics within each symposia span across scientific, technological, environmental, health, legal, management, financial, policy, taxation, social, and pedagogy issues.

This year's edition, SIPS 2026 (https://www.flogen.org/sips2026/), SIPS 2026 will take place at Rio Othon Palace, Copacabana Beach, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (November 30 – December 3, 2026).

FLOGEN Stars Outreach preferred qualifications

  • Excellent English, written and spoken
  • A strong interest for working in a non-profit environment, for subjects related to STEM and sustainability, and for event management and coordination
  • Familiarity with journal platforms, academic publishing tools, and/or SEO an asset
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent teamwork skills, and be highly organized and detail oriented

Responsibilities

  • Editing videos and audio
  • Creating and editing titles, sub-titles and highlights to videos
  • Adding/Synchronizing background music
  • Preferred experience in Adobe Premiere and After Effects
  • Minor experience is Videography
  • Content creation

Applicants must have access to their own video editing workstation and software to perform the duties of this position. This includes:

  • A reliable desktop or laptop computer capable of editing HD video efficiently.
  • A licensed or legally obtained video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro preferred; Adobe After Effects is considered a strong asset).
  • Sufficient storage space (internal or external SSD/HDD) for handling large video and audio files.
  • A stable, high-speed internet connection for downloading, uploading, and transferring project files.
  • Headphones or speakers suitable for monitoring audio quality during editing.
  • The ability to install and use required software updates and collaboration tools as needed.
  • Pay: From $32,000.00 per year
