The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for coordinating, planning, and supervising preventive maintenance activities within our Lachine plant, supported by the St-Laurent plant. The supervisor oversees corrective interventions and continuous improvement to ensure equipment reliability, employee safety, and production targets.

Main Responsibilities

  • Supervise the mechanical, electrical, and automation maintenance teams.
  • Plan preventive and corrective maintenance work with the scheduler.
  • Ensure rapid response to production stops and emergencies.
  • Prioritize interventions based on operational needs.
  • Participate in the analysis of recurring breakdowns and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with SST, locking, and food safety standards.
  • Coordinate work with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Monitor maintenance performance indicators (PM, downtime, KPI).
  • Manage spare parts and participate in inventory control with the stockroom.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and equipment optimization projects.
  • Support production teams in resolving technical issues.
  • Train and develop technician skills.
  • Ensure documentation of interventions in the maintenance system (GMAO Interal).
  • Participate in maintenance budget preparation and tracking.

Required Qualifications

  • DEP, DEC in industrial maintenance, electromechanical, or related field.
  • Experience in supervising maintenance teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • Good knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automated systems.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs.
  • Experience in a food environment (an asset).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Leadership, autonomy, and good priority management.
  • Knowledge of SST and machine safety standards.
  • Proficiency in computer tools.
