Family Clinic of the Heights is currently looking for an auxiliary nurse.
Our clinic is well-established and known in the sector, operating for over 20 years with 19 family doctors, specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Employment Type: Temporary Position, 4 days/15, including one weekend every two weeks *Clinic without appointments schedule:*
- Monday to Thursday 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
- Friday 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM
- Saturday and Sunday 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM
- As an auxiliary nurse, you will primarily work at the clinic without appointments:
- Triage at the clinic without appointments, greet patients, and collect data: reason for consultation, current state of the person, family history, medical, surgical, medication, allergies, lifestyle habits, and prepare patients for the examination;
- Import relevant information from DSQ for the appointment and to make the doctor's work more effective;
- Take vital signs of patients (children and adults), and weigh them if necessary;
- Apply aseptic techniques, prepare instruments and equipment needed for the preparation of consultation rooms;
- Provide nursing care to patients: bandages, injections/vaccinations, ear cleaning, fracture immobilization without plaster, etc;
- Assist the doctor in procedures: infiltrations, abscess drainage, bandages, suturing, Nexplanon installation, etc;
- Know the clinical admission, referral, and reorientation protocol according to the pathology, and assist the doctor in these areas;
- Prepare sample collection requests and explain the procedure for patient transport;
- Inform and transmit appropriate information to patients on certain aspects of health and safety;
- Work in collaboration with colleagues as well as with all medical and administrative staff;
- Ensure you are beyond the doctor and available at all times for him/her;
- Fill the material of the 3 rooms of the clinic without appointments;
- Maintain the inventory of materials, instruments, and vaccines up to date. Check the emergency kit and dressing kit monthly;
- Other related tasks.

Required Education and Experience
- DEP in health, assistance, and nursing care
- Member in good standing with the Order of Nurses and Auxiliary Nurses of Quebec (OIIAQ)
- Current RCR
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- Basic computer knowledge
- Knowledge of MYLE software (asset)
- Salary: Starting at $25/hour
