In collaboration with the veterinarian, you play an important role with our clients as you will provide them with advice or reassure them about their pet's condition. You work directly with our veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and animal handlers to ensure the well-being of the animals under our care. Under the supervision of the responsible veterinarian, you ensure the smooth operation and rotation of the department to provide quality service and care to clients and patients.

Veterinary Technician - Urgent Care

Permanent position, full-time. The schedule is variable, including day, evening, and weekend shifts, depending on the operational needs of the facility.

Main functions

  • Assist the veterinarian during client consultations (pre-consultation, TPR, restraint, help fill out the file, post-consultation);
  • Prepare for surgical procedures (surgery rooms, anesthesia preparation, equipment, etc.);
  • Blood tests;
  • In and out of surgical procedures (patient preparation, client meetings);
  • Procedures (scaling, X-rays, etc.);
  • Administer treatments for hospitalized animals prescribed by veterinarians;
  • Provide excellent customer service, answer client inquiries, and perform necessary follow-ups (post-consultation/treatment or hospitalization follow-ups, report submissions, call taking);
  • Schedule follow-up appointments;
  • Provide nutrition advice to clients;
  • Participate in meetings or training sessions to acquire knowledge that can be useful for answering customer questions, assisting colleagues, and following advancements in veterinary medicine;
  • Work closely with the customer service representative, veterinary technician, and animal handler;
  • Perform any other related tasks.
