Under the supervision of a more experienced project planner, the successful candidate will participate in the development of project schedules for projects assigned during the proposal or execution phase.
What you will do
- Work on 1 to 2 projects in parallel (depending on the missions);
- During the proposal phase, participate in the preparation of the project schedule and work sequences;
- Participate in the development of the Critical Path Method (CPM) on your projects;
- Participate in the writing of the assumption note and the progress note;
- Make schedule advancements at the frequency established by the project team (and according to contractual requirements);
- Interact with project teams and ensure the integration of the right stakeholders and data into the schedule;
- Set up and maintain visuals extracted from schedule data;
- During the execution phase, monitor the actual performance of critical or high-risk activities;
- Participate in weekly project follow-up meetings for assigned projects;
- Participate in resource integration and create workload curves;
- Participate in site visits and project reviews;
- Report your difficulties and successes to your Team Lead to improve your workday and the quality of your work;
- Maintain constant communication and collaboration with other team members;
- Perform any other activity related to scheduling and the development of the scheduling department.
- This position is for you if you have
- A bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction engineering, or a relevant degree in civil or construction engineering;
- Internships on construction projects are an asset;
- Significant experience in managing a construction project;
- An interest in Primavera P6, MSProject, or any other scheduling software;
- Proficiency in Office 365;
- Proficiency in English is an asset;
- Good analytical skills;
- Ability to demonstrate rigor, with a concern for accuracy, precision, and compliance with standards and norms;
- Ability to communicate technical issues clearly, both orally and in writing;
- Ability to work in a team and collaborate with various stakeholders;
- Ability to exercise judgment in decision-making;
- Ability to be autonomous and demonstrate curiosity and resourcefulness;
- An interest in new technologies and a desire to learn;
