Under the authority of the Project Manager, the Construction Coordinator's main responsibilities are to coordinate the work related to their activity and ensure the acquisition of permits. More specifically, the Construction Coordinator - Installation acts as an expert in the installation of turbines and the various steps involved.
- With the help of the Project Manager, prepare the required contracts for the execution and control of work for subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants
- Assist the Superintendent in coordinating assembly activities
- Confirm and coordinate technical requirements with field teams and subcontractors
- Validate the progress of assembly work and produce a periodic progress report
- Coordinate assemblies in collaboration with the Installation Superintendent, site engineers, subcontractors, municipal and regional representatives, and the client/promoter representative
- Develop and implement the quality control program for assembly work and ensure that all points have been documented and are subject to follow-up
- Coordinate compliance inspection of work
- Ensure the application of technical procedures to work performed in collaboration with the project engineer
- Track purchases, receipt, and inventory of materials required for work execution
- Actively participate in the implementation of the prevention program and support the Prevention Agent regarding requirements and implementation of traffic controls in collaboration with Superintendents
- Finalize the transfer of all turbines to the client/promoter and ensure that all points on the punchlist are checked and signed by the supplier or client/promoter.
- This position is for you if you have:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering;
- 5 to 10 years of experience in similar roles;
- Proficiency in Office suite and computer tools;
- Advanced French proficiency, both oral and written;
- Intermediate English proficiency, both oral and written, to regularly interact with subcontractors, suppliers, clients, partners, and colleagues at the national level. Must participate in coordination meetings and provide progress updates to anglophone stakeholders.
- Excellent geographical mobility and availability according to work schedules on site;
- Excellent team management and conflict resolution skills;
- Autonomy and leadership;
- Strong administrative rigor;
- Knowledge of turbines and manufacturers.
