  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise maintenance and repair work on a fleet of heavy equipment;
  • Collaborate closely with the general mechanical foreman, mechanics, and operational foremen to optimize the planning and performance of mechanical activities;
  • Monitor contractors, human resources, and internal policies related to personnel management (integration, training, discipline, etc.);
  • Support, train, and guide the team to ensure the quality and safety of mechanical and welding work;
  • Monitor repairs performed externally by suppliers;
  • Maintain a strong team spirit and a collaborative atmosphere with the mechanics under supervision;
  • Manage the supply of necessary parts for the site and monitor their tracking;
  • Communicate daily with the team to gather information on health and safety, good work practices, and site activities;
  • Monitor and compile daily site reports;
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of operational processes and the integration of new technologies;
  • Effectively manage priorities and coordinate multiple assignments at once;
  • Perform any other administrative task related to the smooth operation of the site.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy equipment mechanics in the mining industry;
  • DEP in heavy equipment or heavy vehicle mechanics;
  • Valid driver's license;
  • Valid general explosives permit;
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to convey knowledge to the team;
  • Basic computer skills to complete daily reports;
  • Versatility, resourcefulness, autonomy, and strong team spirit.
