Daycare Educator (Full-time Position)

Group: End of day shift - 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Wednesday off with the possibility to offer availability for that day.

Responsibilities/Tasks

• Prepare and implement early childhood education programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
• Maintain daycare equipment
• Storytelling
• Summarize the overall situation of the child and communicate the information to parents
• Lead children's activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and taking them to places of interest in the area
• Encourage children to express their creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
• Involve children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts
• Guide and help children to develop good habits for meals, toileting, and dressing
• Prepare and serve snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for dinner and naps
• Observe children to detect learning difficulties or behavioral issues, and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors
• Establish rules for behavior
• Attend staff meetings to discuss children's progress and difficulties
• Establish relationships with colleagues and other community service providers for children and collaborate with them
• Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, safety, and well-being of children
