We are looking for a rigorous, curious, and solution-oriented applications engineer to contribute to projects related to air compressors, low-pressure technologies, vacuum pumps, and compressed air industrial solutions.

In this role, you will act as a technical resource for clients and internal teams. You will participate in equipment selection, system design, quote analysis, and the preparation of tailored technical-commercial solutions to meet the needs of a diverse clientele, including end-users, engineering firms, and contractors.

  • Your Main Responsibilities
  • As an applications engineer, you will be called upon to:
  • Support the sales team, engineering, and clients in analyzing their technical needs
  • Select the most suitable equipment for client applications and requirements
  • Analyze measurement data to design efficient, reliable, and high-performance systems
  • Prepare installation drawings and integration plans using AutoCAD
  • Advise clients and internal teams on applicable standards
  • Analyze bids for tenders and prepare technical-commercial submissions
  • Transmit the required technical documentation to contracts, in collaboration with project managers
  • Collaborate with the energy efficiency team to estimate the electrical consumption of future installations based on published theoretical data
  • Prepare technical reports for clients and present them with sales representatives, in person or via teleconference
  • Coordinate, when required, procedures with electricity providers for subsidy or incentive programs
  • Take charge of technical project management to provide reliable, professional, and high-quality service
  • Organize project kick-off meetings with sales, clients, and other stakeholders

Desired Profile

  • University or college degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics engineering, or a related field
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in project management, engineering, or a similar technical environment
  • Strong interest in industrial technologies; knowledge of compressed air systems is an asset
  • Knowledge of CRM, AX, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office suite, an asset
  • Experience with energy savings calculations or incentive programs, such as saveONenergy, an asset
  • Bilingualism in French and English, both spoken and written, to effectively collaborate with our American supplier as well as our branches in Ontario and Western Canada
  • Comfortable communicating with clients and collaborating with sales, service, and engineering teams
  • Excellent communication skills, team spirit, and customer service mindset
  • Autonomy, good judgment, and problem-solving abilities in a technical context
  • Rigor, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple files simultaneously
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet established priorities
  • Salary: $85,000 to $110,000 per year
