Main Responsibilities

Research and Development

  • Prepare formulations according to established protocols.
  • Weigh raw materials with precision.
  • Prepare laboratory and pilot batches.
  • Perform stability, compatibility tests, and physico-chemical controls (pH, viscosity, density, appearance, etc.).
  • Prepare samples for clients, clinical trials, or certifications.
  • Participate in the development and improvement of formulations.

Support to R&D Department

  • Assist the R&D Department in executing development projects.
  • Participate in test planning and preparation of technical files.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of laboratory methods and procedures.

Laboratory Management

  • Ensure the organization and maintenance of raw material inventory.

  • Monitor expiration dates and storage conditions.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and quality-compliant laboratory.

Support to Manufacturing

  • Participate in manufacturing activities when production needs require it.

  • Assist operators during mixing and batch production.
  • Clean and prepare production equipment.
  • Complete manufacturing and traceability documents.

Quality Control

  • Perform required quality controls on raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products.

  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and internal procedures.

Qualifications

  • DEC or AEC in laboratory techniques, chemistry, biotechnology, cosmetology, or related field.
  • Experience in cosmetic, pharmaceutical, or food laboratory (an asset).
  • Knowledge of GMP (an asset).
  • Good mastery of precise weighing and laboratory equipment.
