The Health and Safety and Operations Coordinator acts as a resource between field teams and management. They ensure the proper organization of operations, compliance with health and safety standards, and administrative tracking of job sites.
They contribute to the smooth progress of work by communicating with supervisors, coordinating certain aspects of site logistics, and supporting teams in equipment and procedure management.
Main Responsibilities
Health and Safety (H&S)
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards on job sites
- Conduct safety audits or inspections on job sites
- Identify risks and propose corrective measures
- Ensure tracking of company safety procedures
- Participate in the continuous improvement of H&S practices
- Intervene in urgent or problematic safety situations
- Operations Coordination
- Maintain regular communication with field supervisors regarding work progress
- Support site organization and operations planning
- Coordinate certain logistical aspects such as:
- o Public way occupancy permits
- o Equipment transport (scaffold, machinery, etc.)
- Ensure tracking of operational needs reported by teams
- Supply Management
- Manage the supply of work materials and supplies:
- o Cleaning products
- o Rags
- o Fuel
- o Small equipment
- Receive employee requests and oversee material distribution
- Ensure adequate inventory maintenance
- Administrative Tracking of Job Sites
- Ensure employees properly complete required documents:
- o Job site opening
- o Daily reports
- o Project completion
- Ensure tracking and compilation of certain operational information
- Support management in the administrative management of job sites
- Team Support and Problem Management
- Be a point of reference for employees regarding certain field situations
- Evaluate problems reported by teams and determine if they should be escalated to management
- Ensure rapid follow-up of situations requiring intervention
- As needed, the coordinator may:
- Visit certain job sites
- Intervene in urgent situations
- Support teams in resolving operational or safety problems.

Education
- Bachelor's degree (Required)
