We currently have an opening for a Workshop Planner. The incumbent is responsible for providing administrative support, including data entry, report writing, and correspondence with clients.

What you will do

  • Open and manage work orders in the workshop, including assigning purchase orders to repairs.
  • Prepare weekly reports on pending orders, shipments, and billing.
  • Estimate the costs of work to be done and prepare approximate proposals.
  • Monitor work orders daily and plan weekly repairs in the workshop, in collaboration with the workshop supervisor.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to keep them informed about ongoing and upcoming work.
  • Track cost overruns and communicate them to the workshop supervisor.
  • Invoice suppliers on a weekly basis.
  • Communicate with the manufacturing plant to track parts and ensure compliance with procedures.
  • Process warranty requests for equipment in the workshop.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

What you will bring

  • Post-secondary diploma in business administration or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least one to two (1-2) years of experience in an administrative role.
  • Experience in handling warranty requests and making warranty policy-based decisions, an asset.
  • Strong administrative skills and computer knowledge.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work, both orally and in writing, in French and English, an asset.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • General knowledge of mining equipment product ranges, an asset.
  • Basic English skills (written and oral).
