Role

Perform various simple technical tasks and activities related to production or traceability. May also be required to perform the tasks of a general assistant.

Responsibility Level

Well-established work processes and tasks. Some analysis is required before independently choosing among known processes.

Tasks

  • Receive goods, assist in inspection upon arrival at the base (opening of boxes, counting of items, etc.), and update the database.
  • Assist in production operations (e.g., sanding, component preparation, organization of production cells).
  • Build appropriate packaging for ground and flight components and provide support during product packaging.
  • Cut panels, honeycomb.
  • Assist in cutting and installing thermal covers.
  • Manufacture bags and assist in packaging of parts.
  • Install helicoils, feet, or grounding covers.
  • Prepare and clean parts (including plating and tinning).
  • Prepare chemical products for polymetallics.
  • Perform validation of pairs after the assembly step.
  • Assemble (wrap) base cables around bodies to produce helical coils.
  • Use appropriate equipment for transporting equipment (cart, crane, rigging, etc.).
  • Assist personnel involved in research and development.
  • All other related tasks

Minimum Qualifications Required

  • Reading of plans.
  • Basic knowledge of the principles of tolerances and geometric dimensions.
  • Ability to retrieve and enter computer data using a menu.
  • Use of production databases.
  • Good knowledge of French.
  • Fine manual dexterity.

Education: DEC, DES, or equivalent.

Experience: 1 to 2 years of relevant experience.

Language Proficiency: Good knowledge of French. Basic knowledge of English, an asset (Contact with clients outside Quebec and personnel at the headquarters in Ontario).
