The HSS-Carbide Operator will operate profiling grinders to evaluate, modify, sharpen, and inspect cutting tools according to established standards.

In this role, the candidate should ideally possess the following skills:

• Ability to operate profiling grinders; facing, cutter & grinder, Wagner, and Göckel.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Prepare setups based on the type of piece to be ground.
• Modify, sharpen, and reprofile carbide, high-speed steel, and tantalum tools.
• Assess and identify appropriate repairs.
• Inspect and ensure the conformity of pieces.
• Perform preventive maintenance on grinders.

Requirements

• Good knowledge of reading plans, technical drawings, and manual dexterity.
• Good mastery of measuring instruments.
• Diligent, resourceful, and have a concern for detail and precision.
• Experience in machining or similar, an asset.

Conditions: Full-time, collective agreement position.
