The Marketing Senior Specialist is responsible for translating the Farm Animal business strategy into an integrated, measurable, and compliant marketing execution. This role supports launch excellence, portfolio growth, customer engagement, and cross-functional alignment by combining strong project leadership with modern marketing capabilities in customer insights, omnichannel activation, analytics, content development, and field team enablement.
The selected candidate will be a marketing-focused commercial specialist who understands the animal health environment, effectively collaborates with Sales, Technical/Medical, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Customer Engagement, and Global Marketing teams, and uses data and customer insights to continuously improve impact.
Key Responsibilities: 1. Launch Excellence and Portfolio Activation
- Lead the day-to-day execution of launch plans and priority marketing initiatives, ensuring clear responsibility assignment, timelines, stakeholder alignment, approvals, and risk management.
- Support the development and deployment of go-to-market plans, including product positioning, customer segmentation, channel strategy, field activation, launch preparation, training, and communication plans.
- Coordinate launch deliverables across internal functions, including Sales, Technical/Medical, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Customer Engagement, Finance, and Global Marketing.
- Maintain launch preparation tracking tools, decision logs, approval statuses, and post-launch action plans to ensure rigorous execution and quick issue resolution.
- 2. Customer-Centric Marketing and Omnichannel Execution
- Develop and execute integrated tactics across digital, field, event, customer education, content, and sales enablement channels to drive awareness, adoption, differentiation, and loyalty.
- Translate insights from producers, veterinarians, distributors, and field teams into actionable messages, journey-focused content, and tools that support customer decision-making.
- Adapt global resources to the Canadian market while ensuring relevance to local regulations, market dynamics, linguistic needs, and customer segments.
- Collaborate with agencies, vendors, and internal creative resources to deliver high-quality, compliant, and brand-aligned materials and campaigns.
- 3. Data, Insights, and Performance Management
- Monitor portfolio, campaign, and launch performance using sales data, forecasts, customer engagement metrics, market research, competitive intelligence, and agreed-upon KPIs.
- Produce concise performance updates and insights summaries to help the team understand what is working, what is not, and what should change.
- Support a test-and-learn approach to optimize messages, channels, offers, content, and field tools based on performance trends and customer feedback.
- Contribute to demand planning and business reviews by providing marketing insights, market context, and practical recommendations.
- 4. Commercial Planning, Budgeting, and Operational Rigor
- Manage assigned marketing budgets, purchase orders, vendor deliverables, timelines, documentation, and internal processes with a strong sense of accountability and precision.
- Support pricing, promotion, and product lifecycle management initiatives through analysis, execution planning, and cross-functional coordination.
- Prioritize activities based on business impact, customer value, resource constraints, and marketing ROI.
- Maintain rigorous project management practices, including agendas, action tracking tools, status updates, escalation points, and post-project learnings.
- 5. Cross-Functional Leadership and Compliance
- Serve as a reliable Marketing point of contact for Sales, Technical/Medical, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Customer Engagement, Finance, and Global Marketing teams.
- Facilitate cross-functional meetings, clarify required decisions, track actions, and ensure stakeholders remain aligned from planning to execution.
- Ensure all promotional and educational activities comply with MAH-100, internal SOPs, regulatory standards, data/privacy requirements, and industry expectations.
- Proactively plan review and approval timelines to protect team speed, quality, compliance, and readiness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, animal sciences, sciences, agriculture, communications, or a related field.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in marketing, commercial, product, or customer engagement; experience in animal health, agriculture, life sciences, or a regulated industry is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in supporting product launches, integrated campaigns, sales enablement, or major commercial initiatives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; experience with business reporting, CRM, marketing automation, analytical dashboards, or digital campaign platforms is an asset.
- Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity, changing priorities, and multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency in French is required.

- Fundamentals of modern marketing: customer segmentation, positioning, campaign development, content planning, go-to-market execution, and product lifecycle support.
- Commercial understanding of animal health, agriculture, or life sciences, with the ability to learn technical product information and translate it into customer value.

- Data-driven decision-making, including interpreting market research, tracking KPIs, analyzing sales and forecasts, using Excel/business reporting tools, and producing concise insights.
- Omnichannel and digital marketing capabilities, including digital content, CRM-activated field resources, email/social/web resources, customer education, events, and campaign performance tracking.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, with the ability to adapt messages to field teams, technical stakeholders, customers, and leadership.
- Cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management, with strong interpersonal relationships and the ability to influence without direct authority.
- Business acumen, including budgetary responsibility, pricing and promotion support, vendor/agency management, and an ROI-focused approach.
- Creativity, adaptability, curiosity, and a commitment to continuous improvement in a dynamic and regulated business environment.
- Commitment to compliance, quality, inclusion, and ethical business practices.
Desired Skills
- Experience in farm animal, livestock, veterinary, pharmaceutical, vaccine, nutrition, or agribusiness markets.
- Experience working with field sales teams, veterinarians, producers, distributors, key accounts, or industry partners.
- Knowledge of promotional review processes, claim justification, regulatory constraints, and compliant communication with customers.
- Experience in agency/vendor management, content production, customer events, conference activation, and sales training.
- Proficiency in English.
