Title: General Journeyman – Asphalt-Based Products Plant We are looking for a general journeyman to work in an asphalt-based products manufacturing plant. The main tasks include labeling 5-gallon kettles using a labeling machine, filling them with various products, stacking them on pallets, and performing general cleaning tasks. Schedule and Pay The position is daytime, Monday to Friday, from 6 am to 2 pm. The starting wage is $19.22/hour for a temporary position, with the possibility of becoming permanent at $32/hour. Responsibilities Operate a labeling machine to apply labels to 5-gallon kettles. Fill the kettles with different products according to production instructions. Safely close, handle, and stack kettles on pallets. Perform palletizing of finished products and maintain good load stability, which is part of the routine tasks in packaging and industrial handling. Keep the work area clean and safe by performing general cleaning tasks, a frequent responsibility in production and packaging positions. Follow safety guidelines, work procedures, and production pace, as is typical for packaging and handling positions in a plant. Desired Profile Good physical condition and ability to work standing. Ability to perform repetitive manual work in a production environment. Reliability, punctuality, and concern for well-done work. Experience in a plant, packaging, labeling, or palletizing, an asset. This type of position is often accessible without specialized training, but requires diligence, versatility, and respect for safety rules.
