Your Mandate
As a Senior Content Advisor (Content Chief), you report directly to the Culture, Variety, Society, and Sports Sector's Management and collaborate on the sector's vision. You primarily oversee major international projects like Eurovision and, secondarily, other projects that may be internal, co-productions, or external productions.
Your main responsibilities will be to
- Supervise and coordinate all production elements until broadcast in connection with Eurovision;
- Guide choices and decisions based on the public broadcaster's values and mandate;
- Supervise projects in line with sector objectives and oversee their development until broadcast, collaborating with CBC, international partners, and producers;
- Exercise critical judgment to enhance, adjust, suggest content, and ways of doing things to maintain viewer engagement;
- Understand the financial aspects of production and interact with business relations as needed;
- Communicate and collaborate with all sectors of Radio-Canada to optimize project impact and content discoverability;
- Facilitate connections between producers and different sectors of Radio-Canada (communications, marketing, social media, digital media, media creativity) to ensure diverse initiatives are well-managed and effective.
We are looking for a candidate with the following profile
- University degree in a related field or any other combination deemed equivalent;
- Seven (7) to ten (10) years of relevant experience in content production in recent years;
- In-depth knowledge of production, major live television events, and key players in independent production;
- Ability to work under pressure;
- Ability to work with multiple teams;
- High coordination and communication skills;
- Very good understanding of industry challenges and requiring excellent judgment;
- Good knowledge of general culture, music culture, and Radio-Canada's orientations;
- Flexibility, as atypical hours may be required;
- Bilingualism French-English.
The skills and knowledge of candidates may be subject to testing.
