Horne Foundry operates a copper smelter in Rouyn-Noranda, producing annually 225,000 metric tonnes (mt) of copper by treating 840,000 mt of copper concentrates and recyclable materials containing copper and precious metals. About the Position

Reporting to the Health and Safety Supervisor, the person is responsible for participating in the maintenance and deployment of the Safe Work Initiative. They will coordinate and assist with self-assessments, external and internal audits. They will act as an advisor to managers regarding the application of safety work protocols and standards. The position holder will perform various SST data analyses, complete reports and presentations. Additionally, they will carry out their work in compliance with laws, sustainable development policies, and procedures in place at Horne Foundry.

Desired Profile

You hold a certificate in health and safety or any other combination of college and university training in a similar field will be considered, paired with experience in a similar position.
