- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
- Maintenance and repair in industrial mechanics - technologist/technician
- Machine tool operator/machining techniques
- Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machining techniques/machinist on CNC equipment
- Work Environment
- Steel structure manufacturing plant
- Tasks
- Calculate the dimensions and tolerances of machine parts
- Measure and position parts for assembly
- Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, graphs, and tables
- Adjust and set up production machines/tools
- Adjust and assemble machine components and spare parts to meet tolerances
- Maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments
- Check the dimensions of machined tools and parts using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometer, thickness gauge)
- Set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machines
- Verify, using precision measuring instruments, that the dimensions of the products are accurate and meet specifications
- Operate plasma cutting equipment
